Stanford MSx offers three application rounds. The deadlines for the 2025–26 intake are:

• Round 1: October 15, 2024

• Round 2: January 8, 2025

• Round 3: February 13, 2025

If you are applying to both the MSx and full-time MBA (using the joint application), you must apply by Round 2. 

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so applying early gives you more time to prepare any post-admit steps like visas or relocation.

📋 Eligibility & Application Requirements

Here’s a breakdown of what Stanford expects:

• Work Experience: Minimum 8 years (average around 12.5 years) 

• Education: A four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent (no specific GPA cutoff) 

• Standardized Test: GMAT, GRE, or Executive Assessment (EA). Joint MBA/MSx applicants must submit GMAT or GRE (EA is not accepted in that case) 

• English Proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE if your prior education wasn’t in English 

• Essays: Two main prompts:

  1. What matters most to you, and why?

  2. Why Stanford MSx, and why now?
     A third optional short answer may be included, or required for joint applicants. 

• Recommendation Letters: Three required, focused on leadership, maturity, and team contribution

• Resume: Typically 1–2 pages highlighting leadership, impact, and cross-functional experience
